It looks like Tyrese Gibson’s $1 million lawsuit against Home Depot for alleged racism isn’t going so well. Home Depot is firing back and, surprise surprise, they have video evidence to back up their claims that Tyrese is lying. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Home Depot alleges that Tyrese brought a bunch of items to the cash register, got them scanned, and then left the register for a whopping 25 minutes to do more shopping. This caused the cashier to have to clear out his transaction, which is contrary to Tyrese’s original complaint that blamed a computer glitch for the delay. Home Depot claims that their surveillance footage shows Tyrese never spoke face-to-face with any of their cashiers, contradicting Tyrese’s claim that he had a conversation with a cashier through FaceTime. In fact, when the cashier asked for ID to complete the transaction, Tyrese had to physically come back into the store. Remember when Tyrese said that Home Depot is like his Disneyland? Well, it seems like Home Depot doesn’t share the same sentiment. They claim that they don’t know how long Tyrese has been a customer or how much he has spent there over the years. Tyrese claims it’s close to $10 million over two decades, but Home Depot is unsure. We reached out to Tyrese’s legal team for a comment, but we haven’t received a response yet.
