The company behind Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Dummy Vapes brand is not happy with a rival company, claiming Fume is trying to poach their colorful-haired business partner! TMZ Hip Hop obtained court documents in which Dummy Vapes accuses Fume of using shady business tactics. Dummy Vapes claims they entered into a “celebrity collaboration” with Tekashi in February 2023, where he exclusively endorsed their vaping products. According to the lawsuit, everything was going smoothly until June when Dummy Vapes learned that Fume, a competitor, was trying to meet with Tekashi and offering him $1 million! Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media. But Tekashi wasn’t interested, and Dummy Vapes alleges that Fume then approached Tekashi’s girlfriend, Yailin la Mas Viral, with a $250,000 contract. To everyone’s surprise, by July 2023, Tekashi partnered with Fume for merchandising, including the controversial “Shaka Laka” collaboration with Kodak Black and Yailin. Fume even released vape flavors named “Dummy Vapes by Fume.” Dummy Vapes states that Tekashi later clarified his loyalty to Dummy Vapes through a public service announcement, while his business with Fume was solely through his girlfriend’s deal. The situation escalated when Dummy Vapes claimed they spent $60,000 for Tekashi to promote the brand at an industry event in Las Vegas, only for him to back out “due to directives from Fume.” Now Dummy Vapes is suing Fume for interfering in their relationship with Tekashi and seeking unspecified damages. We reached out to Fume for comment but are still awaiting a response.
