This was evident when a massive crowd gathered outside Free State Brewing Company in Lawrence, KS on Monday, convinced that Taylor and Travis were dining there. Although an employee tried to inform the Swifties that the duo was not present, the fans simply refused to believe it.
It’s like playing a game of Whac-A-Mole, except the local businesses are using it for viral marketing.
The Dentists In Lawrence decided to join in on the fun by posting, “Rumor has it Taylor Swift stopped by to get her teeth cleaned after she left Free State Brewery today.”
The Kansas Rebels Baseball Class of 2030 also got in on the action with a statement that addressed the alleged rumor of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce being spotted at their practice.
The Lawrence Work for Success Program circulated a message that Taylor Swift attended one of their classes and was a great listener, dispelling the rumors of her visiting local businesses.
As we previously reported, the clothing line KidSuper cleverly capitalized on the attention surrounding Taylor and Travis by renaming the outfit Travis wore to align with Taylor’s “1989” album.
