Reality TV Star Tom Sandoval Opens Up About Struggles with Mental Health and Suicidal Thoughts

Reality TV star Tom Sandoval recently opened up about his struggles with mental health in the wake of his affair with Rachel Leviss. In a candid episode of his podcast, “Everybody Loves Tom,” Sandoval revealed that he had reached a point where he contemplated taking his own life.

Sandoval admitted that the fallout from the affair took a toll on his mental well-being, leading him to a dark place. He described feeling “very, very close” to suicide during the Scandoval.

Sandoval also shared a powerful anecdote about his encounter with the late Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park, just days before Bennington’s tragic suicide in 2017. The experience made Sandoval realize the depths of despair that someone can experience, something he himself would later understand all too well.

Fortunately, Sandoval credits a small group of friends for being there for him during this challenging period. He acknowledges their support as instrumental in helping him navigate through his darkest moments.

It’s important to note that Leviss, too, faced her own mental health struggles as a result of the affair. She spent several months in a mental health facility seeking treatment.

Leviss eventually decided to leave “Vanderpump Rules,” while Sandoval continued filming the latest season. Fans will be curious to see if Sandoval discusses his battle with suicidal thoughts on camera or if he saved it for his podcast.
