Real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky and his dance partner on “Dancing with the Stars,” Emma Slater, want to set the record straight about a photo of them holding hands, claiming people are making too big of a deal out of it.
The two addressed the viral photo on social media, taking a break from their dance rehearsals to explain that they were simply grabbing sushi together after practice. They emphasized that it was an emotional week for them and that they were just chatting outside when Mauricio happened to grab Emma’s hand.
They clarified that after their meal, they headed to their car with their hands still locked, but that was the extent of it.
Emma even joked about how some people are jumping to the conclusion that they’re instantly dating because of this brief interaction.
It’s worth noting that sources close to Mauricio and Emma support their explanation. However, “Real Housewives” star Kyle Richards wasn’t buying it. She voiced her disbelief on “Watch What Happens Live” and found the whole situation disrespectful.
