While the exact cause of his death remains unclear, a family member stated that they had spoken to Paul just last Wednesday and he seemed to be in good spirits, despite mentioning recently feeling unwell.

As many hip hop fans may know, B-Rock and The Bizz achieved fame with their 1997 hit single “My Baby Daddy,” which reached No. 10 on the Billboard charts at the time.

The song received gold certification, and Paul later became embroiled in a contentious dispute with his ex-wife, Lasancious, over ownership of his gold album. The dispute even played out on an episode of “Divorce Court.”

In addition to his music career, Paul also served as the group’s road manager.

Fellow band member Thaddeus “T-Bird” Maye, who grew up with Paul in Alabama, fondly remembers him as “a very funny and cool brother.”

Paul was 57 years old at the time of his passing.

Rest in peace.
