New Orleans Saints superstar Chris Olave was caught up in some wild and crazy driving escapades on the streets of Louisiana, resulting in his arrest on Monday. According to the Kenner Police Dept., the 23-year-old wide receiver was put behind bars at 9 PM but was fortunately released at 11:30 PM. A spokesperson for the Kenner Police Dept. mentioned that Olave’s arrest was due to his reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Apparently, he was seen zooming at 70 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, in an area where both businesses and residents had complained about speeding. Olave, driving his Dodge Charger, was reportedly pulling off some death-defying stunts such as reckless lane changes and weaving around other vehicles, all while going at an alarming speed, as confirmed by the authorities. Chris Olave’s brother, Josh Olave, took to Twitter to give his take on the incident, stating that it was nothing serious, as his brother was simply returning home from CVS. The Saints had a break over the weekend after their loss to the Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. They are now gearing up to face the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday. This season, Chris Olave has been the shining star of the Saints as their leading receiver. So far, he has made 39 receptions, totaling 471 yards and a touchdown.
