Celebrity couple Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have agreed that they will not venture beyond the boundaries of New York City with their kids for now. This decision comes shortly after Sophie filed legal documents expressing her intention to permanently relocate the children to the United Kingdom.
Both Joe and Sophie have reached a temporary consent agreement, which has been filed with a federal judge.
As previously reported, Joe and Sophie are currently involved in a legal battle over custody. Sophie filed a lawsuit in federal court, invoking a child abduction law and claiming that Joe had refused to hand over the passports of their two kids. She argued that they had an agreement for the children to reside in the UK.
Joe countered Sophie’s claims by stating that a Florida court ruling prohibited the children from being taken out of the United States, which set the stage for a legal showdown.
It’s important to note that the agreement made by Joe and Sophie is not legally binding on a US judge. Ultimately, the well-being of the children will be the guiding principle in determining custody arrangements.
