Former “Teen Mom” star Jenelle Evans’ husband, David Eason, has recently found himself in hot water yet again. He has been charged with child abuse in a case involving Jenelle’s 14-year-old son, Jace.
The specifics surrounding David’s charges have not yet been revealed, but what we do know is that the investigation began after Jace ran away from home. Fortunately, the charge he is facing is a misdemeanor.
Jace made headlines when he snuck out of a window at David and Jenelle’s house back in September, prompting a police search. This was the third time within a month that Jace had run away, causing authorities to suspect possible neglect.
While the exact details of the incident remain unclear, it has been reported that there is video evidence of an assault involving Jace. Both law enforcement and child protective services are in possession of this footage.
Although Jenelle has not been charged at this time, there is a possibility that she may face charges in the future. It’s important to note that Jace is David’s stepson.
It was earlier this year when Jenelle gained custody of Jace from her mother, Barbara, who had taken care of him from a young age due to Jenelle’s previous unfit parenting status.
This unfortunate situation is not the first controversy surrounding Jenelle and David. In 2019, Eason made headlines for shooting and killing the family dog after it allegedly bit their daughter. However, he was not charged for that incident.
We have reached out to representatives for Jenelle and David for comment but have not yet received a response.
