Becky Hammon was having a blast at the Las Vegas Aces’ championship celebration on Monday night. In a hilarious moment, she referred to herself as an “old ass bitch” while addressing the crowd.
The Aces head coach didn’t hold back when she grabbed the mic during the parade and rally festivities, making her way from Aria Las Vegas to the T-Mobile Arena. She was definitely not afraid to speak her mind.
Hammon, who took over as the Aces’ head coach in late 2021, seemed to be a little tipsy as she praised star player A’ja Wilson. Hopefully, the younger fans in attendance had their ears covered.
“Listen here, I’m an old ass bitch,” Hammon confidently told the crowd.
Hammon continued to shower Wilson with praise, boldly stating, “I played against all the GOATs. I’mma put it out there, [A’ja] gonna be the GOAT of the GOATs. She doesn’t even know what I’m about to bring, ’cause she’s that good!”
The 46-year-old coach was really feeling herself, even counting her money on stage to make sure she had enough to cover the fines she’ll receive for her colorful language.
In a video captured by Kelsey Plum, it’s clear that Hammon was getting the party started long before she made it to the stage. She was seen dancing to the classic hit “Tootise Roll” on the bus with the team.
But Hammon wasn’t the only one showing off her moves. Sydney Colson was seen in slow motion on stage with R&B singer Tank, who made a special appearance at the event.
Congratulations to the incredible ladies of the Las Vegas Aces!
