"Bachelorette" contestant Josh Seiter is taking a break from social media and seeking help for his mental health after dealing with hate following a supposed hack on his Instagram account that falsely announced his death.
Seiter made the announcement on Monday, stating that he will be logging off social media and entering a wellness facility to address his mental health issues.

According to Seiter, “For the last month I’ve received hundreds of hateful messages and unending harassment related to my account being hacked. I wish I was stronger but I can’t take any more…”

He further adds, “I am losing my phone in the next hour. I love you all. To the people sending me death threats, you win.”

On August 28, a post claiming Seiter’s death was published on his account, which many believed to be true. It wasn’t until over 24 hours later that Seiter revealed he was actually alive and that his account had been hacked.
Seiter faced criticism for the delay in setting the record straight and letting the public know he was okay.
