“Arch Manning’s Progress at UT: A Candid Update from the Manning Family”

Manning Family Candid on Arch’s Progress at UT

Cooper Manning, the older brother of NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning, recently spoke to TMZ Sports about his son Arch Manning’s journey at the University of Texas. According to Cooper, Longhorns fans shouldn’t expect to see Arch dominate the field just yet. He humorously mentioned that Arch has “a little ways to go” and even lost his ID early on. But Cooper has faith in his son, stating that he’s working hard every day to improve.

Arch Manning arrived at Texas as the country’s top-ranked recruit and faced high expectations. However, things haven’t gone as planned, as Quinn Ewers held the starting quarterback position for the season. Although Ewers is currently injured, it’s Maalik Murphy who is expected to start over Arch this weekend.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian did mention the possibility of Arch making his collegiate debut in Saturday’s game against BYU. But he made it clear that Murphy will be the primary starter while Ewers is sidelined. Cooper seems unfazed by this and believes that Arch just needs more time to develop.

Cooper humorously remarked that he’s surprised Arch hasn’t lost his keys, car, and bookbag yet, considering it’s his freshman year. He sees the bumps in the road as part of the growing-up process.

When it comes to Arch’s future in the NFL, Cooper isn’t ready to discuss it. He emphasized that it’s a long way off and jokingly said, “Let’s just see if he can pass English right now.”
