The NBA is punishing former San Antonio Spurs guard Joshua Primo with a four-game suspension. Why, you may ask? Well, it seems that Primo decided to give multiple women a peek at his privates. Talk about an NBA player with no boundaries! The league made the announcement on Friday, stating that their investigation into the free agent revealed “inappropriate and offensive behavior.” You bet it was! Who would have thought that exposing yourself to unsuspecting women would land you a suspension? The NBA officials coined Primo’s actions as “conduct detrimental to the league.” It’s a relief to hear that the league didn’t find any evidence of additional misconduct apart from these delightful surprises. In response, Primo claims that his “unintentional” conduct landed him in hot water. Oops, sorry ladies, didn’t mean to show you that! And guess who first blew the whistle on Primo’s antics? None other than his former therapist, Dr. Hillary Cauthen. She claimed that Primo exposed himself to her on nine separate occasions! Talk about a therapist’s nightmare! Dr. Cauthen’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, also believes that the Spurs were aware of Primo’s actions but decided to turn a blind eye. Shame on you, Spurs! As expected, Cauthen filed a lawsuit against Primo and the Spurs. Primo’s attorney at the time vehemently denied the allegations, claiming that they were either a complete fabrication, a gross embellishment, or simply utter fantasy. Well, that’s one way to defend your client! It’s worth noting that Primo, who was cut by the Spurs in October 2022, was the 12th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. He had only appeared in 54 games before these not-so-flattering allegations surfaced. He averaged 5.9 points and 1.8 assists per game. Well, at least he left a lasting impression!
